In a landmark collaboration set to transform Africa’s energy landscape, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), the Petroleum Commission of Ghana, and AOW:Energy have signed a groundbreaking tripartite agreement to launch the Africa Local Content Forum. This strategic alliance aims to boost local content development, drive job creation, and promote sustainable growth across the continent.
The partnership, unveiled ahead of AOW:Energy 2025, brings together key leaders: Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary of NCDMB; Ms. Emeafa Hardcastle, CEO of the Petroleum Commission Ghana; and Mr. Paul Sinclair, CEO of AOW:Energy. Together, they envision a united African energy sector where value is created and retained within the continent.
“We believe in an Africa where value is created, retained, and celebrated within our own borders,” the partners stated in a joint declaration. “This partnership is a unified step toward building a continent where African content is not the exception, but the standard.”
Africa’s rich oil and gas discoveries position it to secure regional energy supply and export capacity, with the Forum set to accelerate policy alignment, local business spotlighting, and actionable progress.
Paul Sinclair emphasized the vision driving the collaboration: “This is the Africa we believe in—bold, visionary, united. The Africa Local Content Forum will be a defining moment where African institutions claim the future with confidence and collective strength.”
With this historic pact, NCDMB, the Petroleum Commission of Ghana, and AOW:Energy declare: “This is Africa’s moment, and we will build the Africa we want with a united voice of progress and unity.”
