Pakistan and Kuwait Explore Stronger Ties in Petroleum Sector

Pakistan and Kuwait are taking steps to deepen cooperation in the petroleum sector, following a high-level meeting between officials from both countries.

Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik met with Kuwait’s Oil Minister Tariq Sulaiman Al-Roumi to review existing partnerships and identify new opportunities for collaboration. The discussions were also attended by Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah, CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), the CEO of KUFPEC, and senior executives from both sides.

Representing Pakistan, the delegation included Ahmed Hayat Lak, Managing Director of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), and the general manager (Supplies) of Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

Minister Malik highlighted the long-standing relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait, noting that it has been built on decades of mutual trust and respect, particularly in the petroleum industry. Both countries discussed ways to strengthen ongoing projects while exploring fresh avenues for joint initiatives in the sector.
