Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has announced the start of applications for its 2026 graduate trainee programme, inviting young graduates from engineering, technology, and related fields to apply.
The company said the 18-month training scheme is aimed at developing talented graduates who want to build careers in Africa’s oil and gas sector while gaining practical experience in a large-scale industrial environment.
According to the notice, the programme covers three broad categories: technical, technical support, and support services.
Graduates applying for technical roles must hold a degree or higher national diploma in disciplines such as chemical, production, or mining engineering, geological sciences, laboratory sciences, or biochemistry.
For technical support positions, candidates with backgrounds in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and power engineering are eligible to apply.
The support services category is open to applicants with qualifications in accounting, finance, social sciences, humanities, business administration, law, and information technology.
The refinery stated that applicants must have at least a Second Class Lower degree or an Upper Credit at HND level. Candidates must also be no older than 28 years as of May 31, 2026.
Successful applicants will undergo hands-on training across various refinery operations and work closely with experienced professionals as part of the learning process.
