Libya, Turkey Strengthen Energy Partnership with New Talks in Tripoli

Libya’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdelsadiq, met with Turkey’s Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begeç, on Tuesday to explore ways to deepen cooperation in the energy sector.

The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, centered on boosting joint oil and gas projects, attracting new investments, and creating broader collaboration opportunities between the two nations.

According to the Libyan Ministry of Oil and Gas, both officials emphasized the need for sustained coordination between energy institutions in Libya and Turkey to promote shared interests and enhance development across the sector.

The renewed discussions come as Libya continues efforts to rebuild its energy infrastructure and expand international partnerships, while Turkey remains one of its key allies in oil and gas cooperation.
