11 Plc Expands CNG, LPG Access to Boost Clean Energy in Nigeria

11 Plc, formerly Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc, has ramped up efforts to expand access to clean energy across Nigeria, commissioning several Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in Lagos and Oyo States and increasing its Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution nationwide.

Speaking at the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting held at the Abuja Continental Hotel, the Chairman of 11 Plc, Mr. Ramesh Kansagra—represented by Non-Executive Director Aminu Abdulkadir—reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

“This move underscores our dedication to cleaner energy sources and reducing reliance on traditional dirty fuels,” Kansagra stated.

He added that the growing presence of LPG skids across the country is improving household access to clean cooking fuel and contributing to environmental protection. “Our LPG initiative has enhanced the lives of many Nigerians and helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” he said.

The chairman also noted the economic impact of the initiative, explaining that investment in CNG and LPG infrastructure is creating jobs and stimulating local economies.

“These clean energy projects are not just about sustainability—they’re also driving growth in the communities we serve,” he emphasized.

With continued expansion planned, 11 Plc says it is positioning itself as a key player in Nigeria’s transition to a low-carbon economy.“By prioritizing sustainability and innovation, we are not only preparing for long-term success but also contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic development,” Kansagra concluded.
