The United Arab Emirates has unveiled a massive $1.4 trillion investment plan in the United States, targeting key future-focused industries including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and energy infrastructure.
This pledge, announced following a high-level meeting between UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and former US President Donald Trump, marks one of the largest foreign investments in US history
The decade-long strategy aims to fuel American technological innovation and industrial growth. “AI and advanced computing infrastructure are set to receive substantial capital, which is anticipated to boost innovation within the American technology scape,” according to the announcement.
The energy sector will also see major investments, focusing on gas, chemicals, and next-generation infrastructure, expected to create thousands of jobs and strengthen US industrial capabilities.
This initiative builds on a broader Gulf cooperation, with Saudi Arabia pledging $600 billion and Qatar committing $1.2 trillion in related deals aimed at reinforcing US ties and countering BRICS influence.
Emirati businessman Hussain Sajwani will contribute $20 billion toward US data center investments, illustrating a blend of public and private sector commitment.
The UAE’s $1.4 trillion investment underscores the growing economic partnership between the Gulf and the US, signaling a strategic move to deepen alliances and support long-term growth in critical industries.
