Petrol Landing Cost Surges to N885 per Litre

The landing cost of imported petrol has jumped to N885 per litre, up from N797 last week, marking an 88% increase.

As a result, petrol prices at filling stations could rise to N1,000 per litre, from N940–N970.

The Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) reported this rise, adding that the cost of Dangote Petrol, currently priced between N860–880 per litre in MRS stations, may also increase.

Meanwhile, the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has urged Nigerians to avoid panic buying despite price uncertainties.
