Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum (Midstream), Odianosen Okojie, has called on the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, to focus on national interest as he leads the country’s oil and gas sector.
Following the recent appointment by President Bola Tinubu, Okojie expressed confidence in Ojulari’s leadership and urged him to increase crude oil production and optimize the sector’s performance to address Nigeria’s revenue challenges.
Okojie also commended outgoing GCEO Mele Kyari for his service and accomplishments, including the enactment of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) and the resuscitation of the Port Harcourt Refinery.
