Russia has announced that its temporary ban on gasoline exports will remain in effect through February to protect stability in the domestic fuel market.
The restriction, which applies to all exporters including domestic producers, will continue until February 28, according to a government decree released on Saturday. The measure is part of Moscow’s effort to ensure sufficient fuel supplies within the country amid ongoing market pressures.
Analysts say the ban could influence global gasoline markets, as Russia is a major fuel exporter. It also comes at a time when international sanctions and geopolitical tensions continue to affect energy trade.
The government has not indicated whether the ban will be extended further beyond February, leaving international buyers and energy companies monitoring the situation closely.
