Ingentia Energies Appoints Agbaroji as CEO

Ingentia Energies Limited has appointed Victor Agbaroji as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026.

Agbaroji takes over from Charles Odita, who served as interim managing director for six months. The leadership transition was formalised at an event in Lagos as the Nigerian oil and gas company begins its next phase of growth.

Odita said the company recorded significant progress during his time in the role and expressed confidence that Agbaroji would build on the foundation already established.

Agbaroji said his immediate focus would be on consolidating the company’s recent gains rather than making major changes. He identified safety, staff development, innovation and cost efficiency as key areas that would guide his leadership.

The new CEO also said the company would remain focused on delivering value to shareholders and other stakeholders while supporting Nigeria’s efforts to increase crude oil production.

Agbaroji brings extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked across engineering, reservoir management, operations, corporate planning and petroleum economics.

He began his career as a well test engineer before joining Shell as a reservoir engineer. During his career, he held several senior positions, including Front-End Development Manager and Operations Manager for reserves reporting across Shell’s international operations.

He later moved into Nigeria’s indigenous oil sector, where he applied his technical and management experience to local production operations. Before joining Ingentia Energies, he provided technical advisory, risk management and project delivery services to emerging energy companies.

Agbaroji’s appointment comes as Ingentia Energies expands its operations in Nigeria’s upstream sector. The company operates the Egbolom Field and has recently recorded further drilling and production milestones.

The company said the leadership change is expected to provide continuity while strengthening its strategy for growth and operational development.
