Fuel companies in the Philippines are set to introduce another round of price changes on Tuesday, November 25, with motorists facing a combination of reductions and hikes across major petroleum products.
For the week’s adjustments, gasoline users will get slight relief as pump prices fall by ₱0.20 per liter, breaking a long stretch of weekly increases. Diesel, however, will become more expensive, rising by ₱0.60 per liter and extending its upward trend for a fourth straight week. Kerosene will also see a notable increase of ₱1.30 per liter after remaining unchanged for two weeks.
Most major oil retailers — including Pilipinas Shell, Seaoil, PetroGazz, and Jetti — will enforce the new prices starting 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Cleanfuel, which does not sell kerosene, will roll out its adjustments later in the day at 4:01 p.m.
The Department of Energy (DOE) explained that the latest changes stem from fluctuations in global crude prices, influenced by shifting supply levels, international demand patterns, and ongoing geopolitical pressures affecting the oil market.
Government data show that fuel costs have risen sharply over the year. By November 18, cumulative adjustments had pushed gasoline prices up by ₱19.90 per liter, diesel by ₱24.05, and kerosene by ₱8.65.
Earlier in the month, the DOE coordinated with fuel companies to delay or freeze price hikes in provinces hit by Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi), in an effort to ease the burden on affected communities.
Motorists are advised to check announcements from their local fuel stations, as specific implementation schedules may differ by company and location.
