Nigeria Needs $10 Billion Yearly for 20 Years to Achieve Stable Electricity – Adelabu

Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has stated that Nigeria must invest at least $10 billion annually for the next two decades to achieve stable and reliable electricity.

He made this known during the commissioning of a 2.5MW solar hybrid power plant in Kaduna. Adelabu highlighted that over 60 years of underinvestment has left the sector with massive infrastructure deficits.

While commending President Tinubu’s role in decentralizing the power sector, he stressed that resolving foundational issues is key before large-scale investments can truly make a difference.
