NNPCL Launches New CNG Stations in Abuja, Ibadan, and Abeokuta

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has expanded its clean energy efforts by launching new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in Abuja, Ibadan, and Abeokuta.

This move is part of NNPCL’s nationwide strategy to promote CNG as a cleaner, cheaper alternative to petrol. According to the company, these new stations are designed to make cleaner energy more accessible for everyday transportation.

In addition to the latest stations, NNPCL has previously set up facilities in parts of Lagos—including Agege, Mushin, Apapa, and Sangotedo. It also recently introduced six mobile CNG refueling stations in areas like Shomolu, Alapere, Marina, and Ikorodu.

The company revealed that its stations in Lagos and Abuja can now dispense over six million standard cubic feet of CNG daily, serving around 15,000 vehicles each day.

NNPCL reaffirmed its goal:
“With each new location, we are bringing Nigerians closer to cleaner and more affordable energy.”
