NUPENG Accuses Dangote’s Brother of Using Navy, Threatens Fresh Strike

The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has accused Sayyu Dantata, half-brother of billionaire Aliko Dangote and owner of MRS Group, of using the Nigerian Navy to intimidate its members.

The union claims Dantata ordered tanker drivers to strip NUPENG stickers from their vehicles and allegedly flew over protesting members in a helicopter before calling in naval officers.

NUPENG says these actions violate earlier agreements reached with the government and has issued a red alert to members, warning of a possible return to strike against the Dangote Group and its affiliates.
