The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has denied reports that it is carrying out a recruitment exercise.

George Eno-Ita, the agency’s spokesperson, said in a statement on Monday that the claims were false and designed by unscrupulous individuals to exploit unsuspecting Nigerians.
Eno-Ita stressed that NMDPRA is not hiring at any level and urged the public to disregard any announcements suggesting otherwise.

He added that any future recruitment would strictly follow the official guidelines governing hiring in the Nigerian Public Service.
The clarification comes as online and offline scams targeting job seekers with fake NMDPRA recruitment offers continue to circulate.
