Aradel Holdings Expands Gas Supply Agreement with NLNG

Aradel Holdings Plc has renewed and expanded its gas supply arrangement with Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG), providing extra gas through the Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) and NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML) partnership.

The deal supports Nigeria’s push for a cleaner energy transition and aligns with federal efforts to strengthen energy security while boosting economic growth.

Through its subsidiary, Aradel Gas Limited, the company has invested heavily in infrastructure to fully utilize its gas assets. Its 100 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) gas processing plant, operational since 2012, contributes significantly to domestic gas supply and cleaner energy initiatives. Aradel also eliminated routine gas flaring at the Ogbele facility in 2012, becoming the first non-joint-venture gas supplier to NLNG.

Commenting on the agreement, Aradel’s MD/CEO, Adegbite Falade, said, “This partnership guarantees additional gas supply to NLNG. As Nigeria’s energy landscape evolves, natural gas remains central to our growth and the nation’s clean energy transition. Our expansion plans closely follow federal initiatives to leverage gas for industrial development.”

The renewed agreement highlights Aradel’s role in driving sustainable energy solutions and supporting Nigeria’s industrial and economic ambitions.
