BP has appointed Ann Davies as its new chief of staff, adding another experienced executive to its senior leadership team.
Davies, who currently serves as senior vice president for wells, will take up the new position in the coming weeks. She will report directly to BP chief executive Meg O’Neill and work closely with the company’s leadership team on strategic and operational matters.
Her appointment comes after several years overseeing BP’s wells business, where she was responsible for drilling and well operations across the company’s global portfolio.
The move places Davies in a key advisory role at a time when BP is pursuing growth opportunities while advancing its energy transition objectives.
The company has not yet announced a successor for her current position.
Industry observers view the appointment as part of BP’s efforts to strengthen leadership coordination and support the execution of its long-term business strategy.
Further details about Davies’ responsibilities are expected once she formally assumes the role.
