Chevron has announced a key leadership change in its finance division. Alana Knowles, a veteran of nearly 38 years at the company, will retire in 2026. She will be succeeded by Amit Ghai, the company’s current assistant controller, who will assume the role on March 1, 2026.
Ghai, who joined Chevron in 2004, has held various finance roles both in the United States and internationally. He will now oversee the company’s accounting policies, financial reporting, internal controls, global business services, and digital finance operations.
Chevron highlighted that this transition ensures continuity and strong leadership in its finance team. The company also praised Knowles for her decades of service and contributions to strengthening Chevron’s financial strategy and operations.
This change reflects Chevron’s ongoing efforts to maintain effective leadership and adapt to the evolving needs of the global energy industry.
