Daris Tele expresses support for NNPC’s fresh leadership team

Daris Tele Limited has expressed its full support for the newly appointed executives at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), describing the development as a timely boost for the nation’s energy ambitions.

In a statement on Wednesday, the company congratulated Mr. Andy Odeh, who was named Chief Corporate Communications Officer, and Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi, who assumed the role of Chief Relations Officer under the supervision of Executive Vice-President Bayo Ojulari.

Daris Tele’s Chief Executive Officer, Tokunbo Olateru-Olagbegi, said the duo’s experience would be crucial in building investor trust, improving stakeholder engagement, and reinforcing NNPC’s vision for energy sustainability and security.

Odeh, with over three decades of expertise in communications across the oil and gas, advertising, and broadcasting industries, is expected to steer the company’s communication strategies at this defining stage. Adewunmi, with more than 25 years of experience in law, oil and gas, and government relations, is seen as instrumental in driving investment into Nigeria’s gas and offshore exploration.

The appointments align with NNPC’s broader plan to list publicly on international exchanges and to raise investment in the energy sector by over 40 per cent before the end of the decade. Observers believe these steps will not only enhance Nigeria’s global energy profile but also improve supply within the domestic market.

Daris Tele, a government relations and energy communications advisory firm, assured that it will continue to support NNPC’s leadership as the company advances its long-term growth objectives.
