Former TotalEnergies Renewables CEO Takes New Role in Germany

A former chief executive of TotalEnergies’ renewable energy business has moved to a new leadership position with another renewable energy developer in Germany.

The executive has joined Cube Green Energy, a German renewable energy company backed by investment firm I Squared Capital, after previously heading TotalEnergies’ renewables subsidiary VSB.

The move marks a return to a senior leadership role within Germany’s expanding renewable energy sector, where developers are increasing investment in wind, solar and other clean power projects.

VSB, which operates across several European renewable energy markets, was previously part of TotalEnergies’ renewable energy portfolio. The company has developed projects in areas including onshore wind and solar power.

The executive’s appointment comes as Germany continues to expand renewable energy capacity and attract investment into its clean power market.

Cube Green Energy is focused on developing renewable energy assets in Europe, with Germany forming an important part of its growth strategy.

The leadership change is expected to strengthen the company’s efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio and pursue new opportunities in the German market.
