France Leads as Top Buyer of Nigerian Crude Oil Exports

Nigeria’s crude oil production jumped by 8.13% in Q1 2025, reaching over 5 million barrels, despite unrest in key oil-producing states.

New data from the NUPRC shows increased output from January to March compared to the same period in 2024.

Export figures reveal that France, Indonesia, and Canada were the top buyers of Nigerian crude in Q4 2024, with values at N1.75 trillion, N1.36 trillion, and N1.35 trillion respectively. Other key buyers include Spain, the Netherlands, India, and the U.S.

Meanwhile, local pump prices are seeing slight drops as Dangote Refinery slashes petrol prices, prompting adjustments by major marketers like Ardova and Mobil.
