Germany Cheers as Azerbaijan Delivers Oil to Armenia for the First Time

Germany has praised Azerbaijan’s recent shipment of oil products to Armenia, calling it a positive step toward economic cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

Niklas Wagner, Director for Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia at the German Foreign Ministry, shared the news on platform X. He described the delivery as a significant milestone after more than 30 years of conflict, noting that it represents both a practical achievement and a symbol of growing collaboration.

The first batch of domestically produced Azerbaijani fuel was delivered by SOCAR on December 19. A total of 1,220 tons of AI-95 automotive fuel was transported in 22 railway wagons via CJSC Azerbaijan Railways to Armenia.
