Ingentia Energies Limited is preparing to expand its drilling activities after recording a 150 per cent increase in oil production during the tenure of its former Acting Chief Executive Officer, Engr Charles Odita.
The company disclosed this as Engr Victor Agbaroji took over as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
The leadership change was announced by the Chairman of the Board, Chief Oseni Elamah, after a meeting in Lagos involving Agbaroji and Odita.
Elamah credited Odita with significant progress in the company’s operations, noting that oil production rose from 2,200 barrels per day during his tenure.
Agbaroji said the company would build on the progress made under the previous leadership, with increased drilling, better utilisation of existing assets and stronger cost efficiency among his priorities.
He also identified portfolio expansion and greater development of the company’s gas resources as key areas for growth.
According to the new CEO, Ingentia is currently undertaking seismic acquisition, which will provide data to guide its next drilling campaign.
“Our immediate focus is to strengthen the next phase of our drilling campaign by leveraging the seismic acquisition programme currently underway,” Agbaroji said.
He added that the programme was expected to support more efficient drilling, improve exploration results and strengthen operational performance.
Agbaroji also highlighted the need for reliable crude evacuation infrastructure as the company seeks to increase production. He said Ingentia would step up work on its pipeline evacuation project to support future output growth.
The new CEO said the company would maintain the progress achieved under Odita while continuing to draw on the experience and institutional knowledge developed during his tenure.
The leadership transition is expected to drive further expansion in Ingentia’s production capacity, operational efficiency and development of its oil and gas assets.
