IPMAN Urges Members to Join Dangote’s Direct Fuel Supply Program

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has urged members who have not yet registered with Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited to complete their registration immediately, ahead of the refinery’s direct fuel supply launch scheduled for Monday, September 15, 2025.

In a directive sent to zonal and depot leaders, IPMAN President Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi and National Secretary Hon. James Terlumun Tor emphasized that registration is essential for members to access fuel from the refinery. Members who are already registered have been instructed to make payments and prepare for the loading and distribution of petroleum products.

Dangote Refinery recently cut the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), with Lagos and other South-West states set to sell at N841 per litre, and Abuja, Rivers, Delta, Edo, and Kwara states at N851 per litre. The first phase of the rollout will cover Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, Delta, Edo, Rivers, and South-West states, with plans to expand nationwide as additional delivery trucks are deployed.

The program, which will use CNG-powered trucks, is designed to reduce fuel distribution costs, lower pump prices, and help curb inflation, with potential annual savings of over N1.8 trillion for the Nigerian economy. It is expected to benefit more than 42 million small and medium-sized businesses by cutting energy expenses and boosting profit margins.

Dangote Group is investing over N720 billion in the initiative, which is also aimed at reviving inactive filling stations and creating jobs for truck drivers, fuel attendants, and station managers. The company has called on fuel marketers, telecom companies, and large fuel consumers to collaborate to ensure the program’s success.

IPMAN reiterated the urgency for members who have not yet registered to do so immediately to fully participate in the refinery’s direct fuel supply program.
