NIPCO Celebrates Loyal Staff, Pledges Ongoing Appreciation for Workforce

NIPCO Plc has honoured its longest-serving staff members, emphasising that employees remain the company’s greatest asset.

During the 2024 and 2025 Long Service Awards held in Lagos, Managing Director Suresh Kumar commended workers who have devoted many years to the organisation, including some present since its inception. He said the ceremony demonstrated NIPCO’s tradition of recognising dedication and its commitment to rewarding outstanding contributions.

Kumar attributed the company’s continued growth to the loyalty and diligence of its employees, adding that their efforts have kept NIPCO competitive despite the hurdles in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas industry. He urged awardees to maintain their exemplary work and guide newer staff members.

He also spoke about the company’s ongoing diversification into the hydrocarbon and hospitality sectors, encouraging workers to embrace its long-term vision. According to him, the expansion strategy is designed to strengthen NIPCO’s standing in the market while improving staff welfare.

Accepting the award on behalf of recipients, 20-year employee Khamal Badmus said the recognition would inspire colleagues and motivate others to strive toward future honours.
