The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a reduction in the retail price of premium motor spirit (PMS) at its outlets in the nation’s capital.
DAILY POST reports that pump prices at NNPCL stations across Abuja, including locations like Danziyal Plaza, Central Area, Wuse Zone 4, and Wuse Zone 6, have dropped from N945 to N890 per litre. The adjustment represents a N55 decrease per litre for consumers.
An NNPCL attendant, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the price change, noting it took effect Thursday afternoon.
The price drop follows similar reductions at private filling stations. For instance, MRS Empire Energy recently lowered its fuel rates to N885 and N946 per litre, down from N910 and N955 per litre.
NNPCL clarified that the recent adjustment is independent of Dangote Refinery’s ex-depot price revision of N820 per litre, down from N850, as well as fluctuations in global crude oil prices.
