Oando Awaits Regulatory Approval Before Releasing 2025 Financial Report

Nigeria’s indigenous energy company, Oando Plc, has said it is still awaiting regulatory approval before publishing its audited financial results for the 2025 financial year.

The company disclosed that while its board has already approved the audited accounts, the documents remain under review by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), whose clearance is required before public release.

In an update to shareholders and the investing public, Oando explained that it had submitted the financial statements to the regulator and is actively engaging with relevant authorities to facilitate the completion of the review process.

The energy firm noted that it would release its 2025 audited results immediately after receiving all necessary approvals. It added that its unaudited first-quarter 2026 financial statements would be published subsequently.

Oando stressed its commitment to maintaining high standards of corporate governance, financial transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the process.

The company also assured investors that it would continue to provide updates on any significant developments related to the approval process and thanked shareholders and other stakeholders for their patience and support.

Market observers say delays in the publication of audited accounts can sometimes raise concerns among investors. However, analysts believe Oando’s decision to keep the market informed about the status of the regulatory review could help sustain investor confidence while the process is being concluded.

As one of Nigeria’s largest indigenous energy groups, Oando is listed on both the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, making its financial disclosures closely watched by local and international investors.
