Oceaneering International’s Brazilian unit, Marine Production Systems (MPS), has signed several subsea robotics contracts with Petrobras valued at around $180 million.
The deals cover remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services, specialized subsea tools, and survey work on vessels supporting Petrobras projects offshore Brazil.
Work under the agreements will include ROV support for inspection, repair, maintenance, and decommissioning operations. Oceaneering will also handle tasks such as subsea positioning, FPSO connections, mooring checks, and pile installations. Each contract runs for four years with extension options and will begin between late 2025 and early 2026.
Martin McDonald, Oceaneering’s Senior Vice President of Subsea Robotics, said the awards strengthen the company’s presence in Brazil and provide steady visibility into its future work.
Oceaneering has operated in Brazil for nearly three decades, with facilities in Macaé and Niterói supporting ROV, survey, tooling, and umbilical manufacturing operations.
