OGTAN to Honour NCDMB, TotalEnergies and Other Key Players in Oil, Gas Training

The Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN) has unveiled plans to host its annual awards ceremony on September 12 in Lagos, where top organisations and individuals in the energy industry will be recognised for their contributions to training and human capacity development.

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), TotalEnergies, and Nigeria LNG Limited are among those slated for awards. The Petroleum Training Institute will be recognised for Excellence in Oil and Gas Training, while Nigeria LNG will take home the prize for Best Corporate Training Partner.

Dr Ernest Nwapa, the first Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in Capacity Building, and the board itself will be honoured as Government Partner of the Year.

Other awards include Affiliate of the Year for Pana Holdings Limited and Oilserv Limited, Young Professional Development for TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited, and Indigenous HCD Company of the Year for Aradel Holdings PLC and First Exploration & Petroleum Development Company.

Funmi Ogbue, CEO of Zigma Energy Group and founding President of the Women in Energy Network, will be presented with the Women in Energy Leadership Award.

OGTAN President Christopher Osarumwense said the event is designed to spotlight excellence in training and skill development across the sector. He added that recognising such efforts is key to building a stronger oil and gas industry as more companies embrace responsibility for local content and workforce growth.
