Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Femi Otedola has praised the Dangote Refinery following a recent visit to the facility.Otedola shared on his official X account that he visited the refinery on February 15, 2026, describing it as an extraordinary achievement and calling it the “eighth wonder of the world.”

He highlighted that the ongoing expansion at the refinery will raise its production capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day. The facility recently reached its full installed capacity of 650,000 barrels daily after optimizations on its crude distillation unit and petrol production sections.

The expansion is expected to boost Nigeria’s domestic fuel supply, reduce dependence on imports, and strengthen the country’s energy security.
