Oyo Govt Congratulates New PENGASSAN President

The Oyo State Government has congratulated the state Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro, on his election as President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN).

Acting Governor Bayo Lawal, in a statement on Sunday, described Olabiyi-Agoro’s election as a major achievement and a source of pride for Oyo State.

Lawal said the new PENGASSAN president’s experience and commitment to workers’ interests would help strengthen the association and advance its objectives.

He also commended Olabiyi-Agoro for his contributions to labour relations in Oyo State, noting that his new position reflects the quality of leadership the state has continued to produce.

According to the acting governor, Governor Seyi Makinde was pleased with the development, particularly given Olabiyi-Agoro’s role in working with the state government to improve workers’ welfare.

Lawal expressed confidence that Olabiyi-Agoro would use his experience to provide effective leadership for PENGASSAN and promote the interests of its members.

He further assured that the Oyo State Government would continue to maintain a cordial relationship with labour unions and work with their leaders to improve workers’ welfare and governance across the state.
