Petrol Price Hits N935 per Litre in Lagos

Petrol prices in Lagos have risen to between N925 and N935 per litre, following an increase in the landing cost of the commodity.

The hike comes after Dangote Refinery stopped selling petrol in naira and due to rising international oil prices.

The Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) attributed the increase to seasonal refinery maintenance in Europe, a fire at Falconara refinery in Italy, and supply constraints.

MEMAN also noted that the foreign exchange rate has remained stable, though petrol prices may continue to fluctuate throughout the day.
