Nath will oversee Arahas Global Oilfield Services and SGIR Rigs and Energy Limited, where he will be responsible for improving operational performance, strengthening collaboration and driving sustainable growth.

The appointment is part of Sahara Upstream’s organisational transformation under its Beyond XXX strategy, which is focused on developing businesses and capabilities that can meet the changing needs of Africa’s energy sector.

Sahara Upstream Executive Director, Ade Odunsi, said effective leadership was essential to achieving the company’s long-term growth plans.

Odunsi said the company was investing in leadership, technology, capabilities and systems to create more efficient and sustainable solutions across the energy value chain.

He added that Nath’s appointment would help strengthen the two service companies, improve execution and create greater value for customers, partners and host communities.

Arahas Global Oilfield Services provides engineering and oilfield support services, with a focus on operational reliability, safety, innovation and sustainability.

He said his priorities would include improving cooperation between the service companies, enhancing execution, delivering greater value to customers and developing platforms capable of supporting the expansion of Africa’s energy industry.

He added that the businesses would work towards setting higher standards in reliability, safety, innovation and sustainability.

Sahara said the appointment reinforces its Beyond XXX strategy, which seeks to build stronger businesses and partnerships capable of responding to Africa’s changing energy requirements.

The company said it would continue to focus on responsible growth, innovation and sustainable value creation as it positions its businesses for the future of the continent’s energy sector.
