Saudi Arabia, Russia and five other major oil producers will keep their October crude production levels unchanged, OPEC has announced.

The decision was reached by the seven OPEC+ members that have been managing additional voluntary production adjustments. The group includes Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman.

Together, the seven producers are expected to maintain output at about 31.01 million barrels per day in October.

Saudi Arabia’s production target will remain at 10.49 million barrels per day, while Russia will maintain 9.95 million barrels per day. Iraq’s output is set at 4.43 million barrels per day and Kuwait at 2.68 million barrels per day.

Kazakhstan will retain its 1.63 million barrels per day target, while Algeria and Oman will maintain production at 1.01 million barrels per day and 841,000 barrels per day respectively.

The decision comes as the global oil market faces increased uncertainty, with crude prices recently rising above $100 per barrel amid disruptions to oil flows and escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The seven countries also reaffirmed their commitment to complying with the OPEC+ production agreement and said they would continue to monitor market conditions through monthly meetings.

Their next meeting is scheduled for October 4, when they are expected to review developments and consider production levels for November.

Nigeria is not part of the seven-country group covered by the latest production decision, although it remains a member of OPEC.
