Shell Nigeria Gas Engages Industry Players to Boost Gas Supply in Ogun

Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting industrial growth through reliable gas supply, as it engaged over 100 gas off-takers at a customer forum in the Agbara-Ota industrial zone, Ogun State.

Speaking at the event, the General Manager of Shell Energy Nigeria, Markus Hector, said:“Our commitment is to build, operate and maintain a gas distribution system that is not just reliable, but resilient, transparent, and growth-oriented.”

Held under the theme “The Natural Gas Partner of Choice, Powering Nigeria”, the forum brought together key players including federal and state government representatives, industry stakeholders, and members of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN).

The Special Adviser to the President on Energy, represented by Team Lead, Gas, Lateef Biobaku, emphasized government’s vision:“We aim to unlock Nigeria’s energy potential to fuel economic growth, drive industrialization, and diversify the economy.”

SNG currently operates in Abia, Rivers, and Ogun states with over 150km of pipeline infrastructure.Ralph Gbobo, Managing Director of SNG, said the company is listening closely to its customers:

“We have noted the comments of our customers and will continue to improve our services to drive the growth already recorded through gas distribution.”

The forum also featured panel sessions discussing the future of the Agbara-Ota zone, Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape, and the role of gas in powering the country’s economic ambitions.
