Shell Nigeria Gas to Supply Gas to Ogun Steel Company

Shell Nigeria Gas Limited (SNG) is expanding its operations in Ogun State by signing an agreement to provide natural gas to SG Industrial FZE, a steel company in the Guandong industrial zone.

The move strengthens SNG’s role as a reliable energy supplier. The company currently operates about 150 km of gas pipelines and serves over 150 clients across Abia, Bayelsa, Ogun, and Rivers states. This expansion is in partnership with NNPC Gas Marketing Limited.

Ralph Gbobo, Managing Director of SNG, said the deal reflects the company’s commitment to building a gas distribution system that is reliable, transparent, and capable of supporting industrial growth in Nigeria.

Moya Shua, Vice General Manager of SG Industrial FZE, welcomed the partnership, noting that it would provide the stable energy supply needed to power the company’s growth plans.

SNG, established in 1998 as a fully Shell-owned company, has recently connected new clients, including Reliance Chemical Products Limited II, Ultimum Limited, Nigeria Distilleries Limited III, and Rumbu Industries Nigeria Limited. The expansion aligns with the Federal Government’s Decade of Gas initiative and efforts to increase domestic gas usage across Nigeria.
