US Reaches Out to Dangote Refinery For Jet Fuel Supplies

Dangote Oil Refinery is stepping in to meet the US’s growing jet fuel needs, as shipments from the Nigerian refinery hit U.S. ports this month.

With six vessels delivering 1.7 million barrels, the move is expected to reduce jet fuel prices during the summer peak travel season.

The Dangote refinery, which started operations earlier this year, has quickly positioned itself as a key player in global fuel markets, competing with European producers.

This boost in supply comes after a maintenance shutdown at Phillips 66’s Bayway refinery in New Jersey, creating an opportunity for Nigerian exports.
