US, Saudi Arabia Seal Deals on Nuclear Energy and F-35 Fighter Jets

During a high-profile visit by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the United States and Saudi Arabia signed landmark agreements on civil nuclear energy and advanced military equipment, the White House confirmed.

The civil nuclear energy deal establishes a legal framework for a long-term, multi-billion-dollar partnership, emphasizing strict nonproliferation measures. Officials described it as a foundation for decades of collaboration in developing Saudi Arabia’s civilian nuclear sector.

In parallel, the US approved a major defense sale package that includes the delivery of F-35 fighter jets, one of America’s most advanced military aircraft. The sale is part of broader efforts to strengthen defense ties between the two nations.

The agreements mark a significant deepening of US-Saudi relations, combining energy cooperation with defense collaboration, and are expected to have long-term economic and strategic implications for both countries.
