Oil Theft Committee Aims for 3m Barrels Daily Output – Uzodimma

Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma, who chairs the Federal Government’s Crude Oil Theft and Management Committee, says Nigeria is on track to boost crude oil production to three million barrels per day.

He disclosed this in Abuja after meeting with governors from oil-producing states, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).

Uzodimma noted that production levels are already improving, crediting the gains to joint efforts of regulators, security agencies, and state governments. He said the committee would continue to work with the new leadership of NNPCL and NUPRC to align strategies that will help Nigeria meet President Bola Tinubu’s production target.

He also commended the President’s reforms in the oil and gas sector, describing them as impactful and a boost to ongoing recovery efforts.
