Seplat Energy has completed gas infrastructure delivering over 850 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to boost domestic supply and tackle Nigeria’s energy poverty.
Chief Operating Officer Samson Ezugworie said the capacity excludes new reserves from Seplat’s acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU).
“We’re exploring new opportunities to power more homes and industries,” he stated.
Seplat aims to end routine gas flaring by H2 2025, with key projects like the Sapele and Oben LPG plants already underway.
The company is also investing in people. Fifty graduates joined in April for technical training, and in 2024, over 6,000 students and 350 teachers benefited from its education programs.
“For us, sustainability means developing talent and reducing emissions,” Ezugworie added.
Seplat’s integrated approach signals a strong push toward cleaner energy and national development.
